Kinwarton Dovecote

When I left Coughton Court this afternoon, I thought I would pop down the road (via a ford, that was scary!) to this lovely little Dovecote in Alcester.

Can you believe the walls are 1 metre thick? And it has hundreds and hundreds of little hidy holes for feathered friends. Considering it is the only remains of what was once an Abbey, it is wonderfully preserved.

A very sweet little stop indeed.
