Little Moreton Hall
We have begun our Easter Weekend by visiting Little Moreton Hall, a tudor house in Cheshire. This wonky old house was built in 1504 by the wealthy Moreton family.
I loved all of the details around the house, from the black and white timbering to the beautiful leaded windows, I don't know how they have lasted for so long. We spent a good while looking around at the names and dates scored in to the woodwork and even the window panels, its strange to think that so so many people have passed through the house and it is still so authentic.
The house is a fine example of tudor architecture, complete with beautiful paneled walls and delicate leaded windows. Sparsely decorated, it feels homely in the Elizabethan sense.
Surrounded by a moat, there are plenty of ducks around and they were even friendlier than those at Baddesley Clinton! We saw Mallards, Swans, Coots and Tufted Ducks (they can swim under water!).
But by far my favourite part of the visit was the amazing cheese scone platter that I had for lunch. Utterly stunning.
We enjoyed Little Moreton Hall enormously too. Took so many photos
